Supporting Attendance at OTCC 2027
Through the generous support of Cancer Council SA and OTCC 2027 partners, a limited number of scholarship assistance packages are available to support professionals, researchers and students to attend the Oceania Tobacco Control Conference (OTCC) 2027 in Adelaide, Australia from 10 - 12 March 2027.
The theme of OTCC 2027 is: Evidence. Impact. Possibility.
This event attracts health experts and researchers in the field of tobacco control from across Oceania and provides the opportunity to meet and explore current issues as well as ideas for the future.
These scholarships are intended to support delegates who may otherwise face barriers to attending the conference.
Scholarship Assistance Packages
Four levels of assistance packages are available for successful applicants:
Level 1
Conference registration costs only.
Level 2
Conference registration and 3 nights’ accommodation.
Level 3
Conference registration costs, hotel accommodation costs for 3 nights and return economy airfares.
Level 4
Conference registration costs, hotel accommodation costs for 3 nights, return economy airfares and further financial support to assist applicants in attending the conference. (there are a very limited number of Level 4 assistance packages on offer).
Who Should Apply?
Applications are open to professionals, researchers and students in the field of public health, or for whom tobacco control forms part of their work.
Preference may be given to applicants who:
- Have submitted an abstract to OTCC 2027
- Work in resource-limited settings
- Work with Indigenous or First Nations populations
- Work within Pacific Island communities
- Work with high-needs populations
- Work within the not-for-profit sector
- Have a focus on or capacity to influence tobacco control policy settings
Applicants must:
- Reside within the Oceania region
- Applicants must have no affiliation with the tobacco industry.
- Meet all scholarship eligibility requirements and terms and conditions

Complete your application and gather supporting documents, including:
- Current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Abstract submission (if applicable)
- Supporting statements or documentation where relevant.
(i) Applications can be saved as drafts and returned to prior to submission via the Scholarships Portal.
