Welcome to the 2027 Oceania Tobacco Control Conference (OTCC)

It is our pleasure to invite you to OTCC 2027. The conference, running from 10–12 March 2027, will be held on Kaurna country (Adelaide) at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The first Australian National Tobacco Conference was held in Adelaide in 2001, so it is fitting to return to both celebrate gains in tobacco control since then and look to the future.

The conference brings together tobacco control researchers, advocates, policy makers, and program administrators from Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island nations to share the latest tobacco control research, policy developments and programs from our region. It is also an opportunity to showcase best practice and emerging trends from international jurisdictions.

This year’s conference will be hosted by Cancer Council SA, and will maintain the critical importance of sharing research, learnings and stories from across the Oceania region. The conference maintains its comprehensive scholarship program to support a diverse range of delegates to attend.

Conference highlights:

  • Multiple in-depth workshop sessions on a variety of topics.
  • Keynote speakers, renowned experts and thought leaders to share their insights, experiences and strategies for success in the tobacco control field.
  • Networking and connecting opportunities to connect with key tobacco and vaping control stakeholders, academics, professionals, and students.
  • Experience Adelaide’s culture through the Adelaide Festival and the Adelaide Fringe, which will be running at the time.

We invite you to join us in Adelaide for OTCC 2027. We are excited to bring you this conference and believe it will be a remarkable and unique experience.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Christine Morris and Andrew Schultz (Co-chairs of the Organising Committee)
Prof Becky Freeman and A/Prof Raglan Maddox (Co-chairs of the Program Committee)
